Hero Arts February Release Blog Hop

Hello! Today I’m part of the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Blog Hop.

The February release launches this Monday, February 3rd at 10am Pacific/1pm eastern. This month’s release has a fun set with Dachshunds called Birthday Paw-ty and I’m happy to share a couple cards I created with this set.

I played with my new Karin brush markers and did a little watercoloring to create some bright and happy party cards.

I embossed the images for a nice sharp look and then watercolored over them. I decided to keep the background simple and added just a splash of color behind the balloons and some fun rainbow stripes on the other card. I cut the watercolor panels smaller than a standard card and mounted them to black card bases to create some borders along the side and bottom.

These cards remind me of my sweet Penny. Big thank you to Libby for thinking of me and letting me to play and share cards with this sweet doxie set.

Giveaway: Hero Arts is giving away a $50 gift card to one lucky commenter, picked randomly from comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, February 9th at 11:59pm pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week

Below is the full list of stops on the Hop.

    • Love the colours on the background! It came out beautifully 😍 and the little dogs are just adorable!!
Thank you so much for the amazing inspiration ❤️

  1. Sweet cards. Love the rainbow watercoloring, and the doggies look like they will have fun parties. Love the strips of black on the sides.

  2. Such adorable cards! I just love this set. Growing up, I had a dog named Penny also. She was part dachshund and part beagle. She was black though. My family has always been partial to dachshunds. My sister has two miniature long haired ones. This would be a perfect set to make a card for her.

  3. This is my third try at leaving a comment. Hopefully your site won’t think I’m a bot this time.

Love your sweet and colorful cards. Those dogs are adorable. Perfect cards for dog lovers and kids at heart. Thanks for sharing!

  4. I love seeing the creativity of the designer’s and the variety of cards made from the same kit. Thank you for your inspiration and I can’t wait to receive my kit!

  5. Hi Chari 🙂 Glad to “meet” you! These Dachshunds in Birthday Paw-ty are so stinkin’ cute!!! I have a grand doggo (dog before children have kids) that’s a Dachshund! Your cards are fun and festive! I’m also a new subbie/follower. Thanks for inspiring me 🙂
