Popping in with a quick post to share a valentine’s card I made to play along with the current Lawnscaping Challenge. I also made this card to give my grandmother for Valentine’s Day. She is in the hospital this week due to surgery she had on Sunday. I am hoping she recovers quickly.
I clear embossed the hearts of teeny tiny backdrops on white cardstock then created the gradient using spun sugar, worn lipstick & festive berries distress inks. The sentiment is embossed with red Zing embossing powder on vellum (it actually embossed better on vellum than regular cardsock, go figure). I cut the small and large hearts using Papertrey Ink dies, and then free handed the middle size heart to fit between them. Finishing touch of red stickles & drawn red frame to finish it off. This is an absolutely GORGEOUS card and the gradient on your distress inks is FLAWLESS! Seriously, you NEED to do a video on this technique. I love distress inks, but I hardly ever use them because I can't seem to get this kind of smooth variegation. Love how you did it. Thanks so much for playing with us at Lawnscaping!
