Yes Mother’s Day has come and gone but I had three wonderful women to make cards for this year so I’m here today to share the card I made for my Mom (yesterday’s card was for my Granny in case you were wondering). I recently got this flower stamp from Hero Arts and wanted to use it on a card so here is what I came up with!
I embossed the images in black then blended the whole panel with distress inks in Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed & Wild Honey. I then used a Dried Marigold distress marker to color in the petals over top the distress inks. I wanted a hint of bright red in there too. I felt my Barn Door distress marker was not bright enough so I used Festive Berries along with a Blender pen to color in some red in the petals as well. The flowers are accented with some rock candy distress stickles.
Hope your week is off to a nice start, thanks for stopping by! 🙂
