Hi friends!
I am a day late sharing my Halloween Peekaboo Pop-up card. This is probably my last Halloween card for the year which makes me sad, for whatever reason I love making Halloween cards. I think it is because you get to use images that you don’t normally use and fun color palettes. That being said I went a bit in a different direction with the color scheme for today’s card. I again dipped into my fabric stash to find some color inspiration for my card (I do show the fabric in the video) and I love the way it turned out. It is fun to try something new.
I also got to dip into some of my older stamps for this one. I love Happy Haunting and that big haunted house, it is one of my favorites and it’s a great way to anchor this card with a big image. The trick-or-treaters are from Fox Costumes and the owl is from Jump for Joy with a pirate hat from Booyah added on.
When you pull the peekaboo pop-up card the cute (not scary) ghost flies up from behind the house and lands in front of the moon. For the sky, I blended orange distress inks in saltwater taffy, ripe persimmon, and crackling campfire and used the Nighttime sky stencil to create the moon and spooky black clouds.
