Graveyard Shift

Hi Friends!
Remember me, the girl who disappeared from her blog? Well I’m back!  Today I have a card over at Neat & Tangled featuring a brand new set called Graveyard shift.  How cute is that skeleton, seriously?  Head on over to check it out the whole card as well as the other Design Team creations with this set.

Now for a little housekeeping. Why have I been missing???  Well like I said in a post before, life threw me a curve ball.  I lost my job a few weeks ago.  So I have been adjusting to not having a job to go to after 10 years as well as trying to look for one.  The Economy is not a friend to the architecture business right now. 🙁 Also, I went to Scrapfest last weekend at the Mall of America to help out at the Lawn Fawn booth.  It was three days non-stop of make & takes….exhausting!  And to make matters worse I contracted the “Scrapfest Plague” while I was there.  Okay not really the plague, just a bad cold but still….Ugh! Here is a picture I stole from Britta’s blog of us working away at the booth.

Also while I was away some super sweet girls graced me with a Liebster Award.  Thank you so much Melissa, Lenny & Audrey.  I’m very touched and you can’t possibly know how honored I am and how much it means to me.

ABOUT THE AWARD
Liebster is a German word meaning “Beloved,” “Favorite,” or “Dearest.” This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favorite bloggers with less than 200 followers. The origins of this award is unclear, but is believed to have originated by a German blogger. This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion to share your dearest and most beloved blogs that have less than 200 followers.

RULES FOR ACCEPTANCE
Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog. Post the award onto your blog. Give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate that have less than 200 followers. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award!

I would actually love to give this award right back to the lovely ladies that gave it to me, because they are more than deserving, but I don’t believe that is how this is supposed to go.  So in addition to MelissaLenny & Audrey who I think deserve it, here are my Liebster nominees….(by the way I have nominated some wonderful crafters before, you can find them HERE, so this time I am picking 5 different ones!)
Nancy – My fawnie roomie! 🙂 Your blog has the perfect name because it makes my heart happy when I get to see you.
Stephanie – Fabulous friend and team mate, you always makes such beautiful creations inspiring creations!
Jean – So happy to have gotten to know you through the Neat & Tangled team and glad I could get you addicted to stickles LOL
Mary Dawn – Always inspiring and to blame for my ink addiction…thanks?
Kari – fellow Lawn Fawn lover and truly sweet girl. 🙂
Truth be told it is hard to pick 5 people, because I never want anyone to have their feelings hurt…you are ALL inspiring! 🙂
Okay, that’s all for me today.  I will be back tomorrow with the first day of Lawn Fawn inspiration week (be sure to go leave a comment on today’s post HERE for a chance to win goodies!) and another Young Crafter’s Unite challenge.

  1. Chari – girl first things first – glad to see you back blogging after a bit – but I didn't realize that you lost your job – I can honestly say my heart sank when I read that! I know the economy sucks right now – but with your talent and shear determination – things will bounce back soon – and you're awesome and too sweet to nominate me for the Liebster award. Thank you so much!! I'm also looking forward to LF Inspiration week! My favorite crafty time ( another than actual crafting) teehee!

  2. I'm exhausted every time I think about the chaos of ScrapFest! I hope the job prospects open up for you. I know I hate hearing this while I'm in the thick of it but, it will get better and everything will work out 🙂

  3. Chari, Thank you for the nomination. How sweet! And it's been great getting to know you as well. It's not just the stickles – everytime I cut around my embossing I ask "How would Chari do this?" Best wishes with your job search.
