Hello!
It’s been awhile, I’ve been busy playing with the new Lawn Fawn release coming up later this month. But today I have a fun Valentine to share that uses some fun stenciling techniques.
The inspiration for this card was the idea of graffiti on a brick wall. So I started by creating my brick wall. I used white grit paste with the brick stencil to create my wall. Once the paste was try I went back over the textured surface with ink and the heart stencil to create my graffiti.
I also added some controlled splatters of ink (or paint) so that it looked like the paint had dripped and was not so perfect. Since the grit paste is porous it was colored by the ink very easily and I love the look that this created. I makes me want to experiment more with different mediums layered through stencils. I finished it off with a simple die cut sentiment and framed it with rainbow stripe paper.
Check out the video tutorial below or on my YouTube channel to see just how this card came together.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
