Get Cracking on Christmas: Simply Watercolor Christmas

Hello! It’s the third Thursday of the month, time for the next installment of Get Cracking on Christmas! The idea of creating one Christmas card a month all year long started with my friends Jenn and Cherion when we realized that we don’t get to create many cards when the Holiday season rolls around. This month is super-sized as we are celebrating Christmas in July with a few bonus friends joining us!

I created this simple watercolor card after watching the first day of lessons from Kristina Werner‘s Simply Watercolor class at Online Card Classes.  I drew a grid on a piece of watercolor paper and colored in the squares with various shades of green watercolor paint.  After dry, I white embossed this sentiment from Concord & 9th.  I trimmed the panel down and mounted it with foam adhesive on a white card base and added a few red sequins like holly berries scattered across the card.

I hope you will join us this month by creating a holiday card and sharing on social media or your blog using the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas. Below is the list of friends joining us for Get Cracking on Christmas in July.  Please check out their blogs as well for more holiday inspiration.
