Get Cracking On Christmas: Joyful Wishes

Hello! It’s time for our monthly Get Cracking on Christmas post. The idea behind Get Cracking on Christmas sprung from the fact that many of us crafters who work in the industry with stamp companies seem to be busy with other things come the holiday season that we never seem to have time to make holiday projects.  So once a month we are making a holiday card so by the end of the year we are guaranteed to have a handful of holiday cards ready for the season and we will have given our holiday goodies some love. 🙂 Today I’m joined by my friends Jenn and Cheiron sharing some holiday projects.

For my card today I played with some alcohol inks using Jennifer’s method of applying them smoothly. I used a combination of Rangers regular alcohol inks and the new pearl inks, whose shimmer is hard to catch on camera.  I also used some regular alcohol and splattered it on for some texture.  I added the small gold splatters by using a brush and Jacquard gold alcohol ink.  I then cut the piece with the Pretty Pink Posh layered tree dies.

I used white woodgrain cardstock for the background and Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust sparkle cardstock for the ground. The sentiment is from Joy to the Woods and is white embossed on Chili Pepper cardstock. I added some gold and glitter washi tapes to the banner and behind it and cut the ornaments from some shimmery red paper. Be sure to visit Jenn and Cheiron to see their holiday cards as well. Please join us as we create holiday projects and share them using the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas.
