Hi Friends! It’s time to Get Cracking On Christmas!
I have NOT been Cracking on Christmas this year but I found a little time to make something to join Jenn for Christmas in July! The whole concept behind Get Cracking on Christmas is to use those products you buy at the holidays but never seem to get around to using during that busy time. Yes I have those products too! And this Etched Winter Scene stamp from Hero Arts happens to be one of those. So I decided it was time to introduce it to some ink!
I used foam blending tools to add distress oxide ink in Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers & Blueprint Sketch to the stamp and then stamped it on the paper in my MISTI. I added some Chipped Sapphire distress ink at the top and Salvaged Patina at the bottom edges.
The sentiment is from another unused set in my stash, Comfort and Joy Messages. I stamped it in crisp black ink, then I broke out my beloved stickles and started tracing some of the swirling lines in the image. I used Crystal for the sky and snow and Yellow for the moon. Finally I added some dots of gold metallic paint on some of the dots in the image.
