Frightfully Fun Halloween: Trick or Treat Tag

Hi Friends!
I’m back with another Frightfully Fun Halloween project today.  I decided to try my hand at another tag project and use some new products I just got.

TrickOrTreatTag

So I cut three tags out with my Cuttlebug, one out of black cardstock for the back, one out of yellow pattern paper and one out of the black with stars. I then use a circle die to cut out the “moon” part of the star paper. I also swiped Brushed Pewter distress stain across the black star paper to lighten it up some and give it a nice sheen. I spritzed the stain with some water so that the silver sheen would be nice and even. I thought this would help the bats stand out more. I layered my papers together with Ranger Glue n’ Seal. I glued the yellow paper to the black cardstock first then coated it with Rock Candy Crackle Paint and set it aside to dry. Once it was dry and crackled I glued the star paper on top of the yellow.

For the bats I used a new memory box die and some black wool felt I just picked up from Ellen Hutson.  The die cut through the felt like butter! So much better than the acrylic felt you can find at the local craft store. To give the bats a little more stability I did glue the felt on to black cardstock also die cut with the memory box die.

I think it turned out rather cute, I had every intention of taping a Kit Kat treat to the back of the tag but it somehow got eaten before I was done. 🙂
