A Few Fun Cards

So the wedding was super successful.  Everyone had fun, including me and Matt, and everything went so well.  I will share pictures when we get them back, I know there will be some great ones!  But now that the craziness of the wedding is over and done I can get back to some craftiness.  Today I wanted to share a few fun cards I made.  The first two are small cards I made for Matt for our Wedding day.  I hid the first one in the drawer with his undies (so he would be sure to find it) and the second in his tux bag so he would find that one later in the day when he was getting dressed for the wedding.  Both cards were an opportunity to use some new goodies for the first time.

I finally got the chance to ink up a couple of my new paper smooches stamps that have been sitting there staring at me for a week!  The apple and the sentiment are both from Paper Smooches Falling For You set.  I really love the images of these stamps and can’t wait to use them more. 

 

The little pears in Lawn Fawn’s My Silly Valentine set are one of my favorites.  I used my new Jenni Bowlin inks to create a subtle look on the white cardstock.  I thought it gave it a very wedding-y feel.  I finished it off with some honeydew twine from The Twinery that went well with the green on the card.

The last card I want to share with you today is a birthday card I wanted to make for my sister but considering her Birthday was Monday and I finished it last night, well it didn’t get done in time.  That pesky wedding kept me too busy! hehe 🙂 This card also uses a new stamp set I just got from Hero Arts, the new Basic Grey Life of the Party stamp set.

Staci (my sister) loves the color pink and cotton candy so it was only appropriate to makes some pink cotton candy for her!  On the image I used some pink flocking I picked up at Micheal’s in the $1 bins to create the pink ball of fluff and some glossy accents for the eyes. (I also think this would be super cute with googly eyes but I haven’t picked any up yet).

Other: Red Button, Glossy Accents
