My first card uses the new set Stay Salty and Stay Salty Dies….

I just think this sentiment is too funny, so I had to use it on my first card.  I used papers from the By The Sea paper pad from My Mind’s Eye.

For my second card I thought the lifesaver pattern paper from the same pad would go perfectly with the lifesaver image from this set.

I wrapped the die cut stamped image with red rustic twine and used the Lawn Fawn ocean wave border die to die cut one of the woodgrain papers for the bottom.

For my third card with this set I used the Silver Lining dies to cut some distress watercolor cardstock into some sunbeams. I cut two and inked them with either yellow or orange distress inks, then I cut them apart and reassembled the pieces swapping every other piece for one of the opposite color.

I covered my sunset with a layer of clear spectrum noir sparkle pen then covered the whole piece with glossy accents and let it dry. I stamped the clouds with Lawn Fawn Merman ink and die cut some popping them up with foam squares.  The ocean is cut with the ocean wave border die from Mermaid card stock.  I love the sentiment and thought it was so fun to use with the seagull holding a potato chip!

My last two cards use the new Bear Ware set and Bear Ware Dies along with All Inside which of course has the sweet bear image.

I die cut the bear from cork then stamped the image with archival brown ink onto the cork.  For this first card I colored my flowers to match the pattern paper I used for the background.  I used a sentiment from the new Warm Fuzzies stamp set and added some google eyes for fun.

For my second bear card I inked the background with distress inks and used the grassy border from Lawn Fawn to die cut pattern paper for the ground.  I also paper pieced the sections of the umbrella from coordinating papers.

I used Ranger Enamel Accents in caribbean coast to create the rain drops and black tie for his shiny nose. The sentiment is also from the Warm Fuzzies stamp set.

  1. Wow, what awesome cards. My favorite is the one with the Silver Linings die. I manually hand cut all the triangles for my sunburst cards since I don't care for the lines in between the rays that most dies have, except for the Silver Linings die. This is going to be a life saver for me.

  6. Oh, my goodness, Chari! Your bear cards are absolutely precious!! Love that you die cut them from the under-used cork which adds such a fun element. The bear holding the posies from the Bear Ware stamp set, with coordinating b/g paper, is just too stinkin' adorable!! Your other cards are wondering and those stamp and die sets are already on order with my name on them. Can't wait to start creating!! Thanks for sharing! ~HUGS~

  15. As usual, you have created heart-warming cards. The sea themed cards are fun and cheerful, but the cards with the bear (complete with wiggle eyes) offer sweet sentiments of love and care. All are wonderful additions to the hop and show the versatility of this release. Thanks, Chari!

  17. While I don't like that SHIP sentiment, you made some really cute cards. I like the red twine on the lifesaver. I LOVE the bear card. Cork is a perfect texture for the bear. All the colors coordinate so well on the flower bear card. I also love the umbrella bear; so cute.
