Essentials By Ellen Holiday Release

Hello Friends!

Today Ellen Hutson has a new Essentials by Ellen holiday release. I am happy to be joining in and sharing a slightly non-traditional holiday card and a fun technique.

To create the background of this card I used the FaLaLa stamp which is a very fun background stamp. I stamped it in Lawn Fawn Jellyfish ink on Bristol cardstock. Then I ink blended distress inks over the stamped background. The Jellyfish ink makes the distress colors slightly darker and gives a cool watermark effect. I used tattered rose, worn lipstick and seedless preserves distress inks to blend my background. After blended I used the largest Lawn Fawn Outside In stitched rectangle die to cut a nice stitching edge around my panel.

I used the fun and bold Fa La La sentiment from the new Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set and white embossed it on the background and then added some gold metallic watercolor splatters. Finally I added some gold metallic embroidery floss around the bottom and added it to a white card base.

This is just a taste of the new products from Essentials by Ellen. Be sure to check out all the new goodies HERE.

  1. So loving this! Great colors. Now that I’ve seen you live with Jenn I gotta get more of you! I’m a fellow Archie, too….but became a city planning director. You rock!
