Hello Friends!
It’s the 4th and final week of Ellen Hutson’s summer of stamping which means there is another new release. I truly enjoyed playing with the new Everything’s Beachy stamp set from Essentials by Ellen. I actually made three cards which I will share over the next few days. First up is a card inspired by my recent trip to Seaside, FL. It was my first time visiting a Gulf Coast beach and the colors of the water and sand really stuck with me.
I decided to recreate the beautiful beach we visited in Seaside. The sand was so white and the water so blue. I started out with a piece of speckled eggshell cardstock as my sand then I blended distress oxide ink in salvaged patina, peacock feathers and mermaid lagoon to create the water. The waves crashing against the shore were made using opaque distress grit paste. I love the look this created and the texture.
For my images I did some no line coloring, used the coordinating dies then I punched a hole in the umbrellas so I could make them spin on a brad. I used the small circle die from Lawn Fawn’s reveal wheel die set to create my turning umbrellas. They are popped up on foam squares for some shadows below them and I tucked the beach towel underneath.
You can see how I create this project in the tutorial below!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I’ll be back with another card later this week using this same set! You can find the newest Ellen Hutson Summer of Stamping products HERE.
