Hello Friends!
This month I am honored to be a guest with Concord & 9th. I love their stamps and Angie & Greg is are great people! Their November release has some great products some of which I was so excited to play with. Today I have four cards featuring two of the new release bundles, Kindness Blooms and Tall Type.
For my first card, I created a background on Lawn Fawn fog cardstock, which is a very pale gray, with a variety of gray inks. Then I cut the die cut words from the coordinating die set in bright rainbow colors with black behind them so the words would stand out. I also stamped some of the large flowers and leaves in color as well to gather around the sentiment. All of these elements are popped up with foam for dimensions and finally, I added clear droplet embellishments and a little glitter to the flowers. I love that this turnabout gives you two different looks.
My second card using the Kindness Blooms set uses only the small flower turnabout. I made a rainbow background with my new Karin Brushmarker Pro pens. I simply scribbled each color on some watercolor paper then added a bunch of water to create a wash of color. Then I stamped the flowers in black ink. I cut apart the square to create a void for my die cut sentiment, which I cut using the Simple Serif die set from black cardstock.
Now for a couple cards using the new Tall Type dies, which I am in love with. I just love these fun tall skinny letters and numbers. For this card cut the Sew Stripes stitching rows from a white card front. Then I used the stripes from the new Thank You for Being set and stamped them in Simon Says Stamp fog ink twice between the stitching lines.
After stitching each line in a thread that matched the cardstock I planned to use I added my die-cut letters and brackets to create the sentiment. Each letter is cut from a different color and stamped with a slightly darker ink using the stripe pattern from the Playful Patterns stamp set which coordinates with the Tall Type dies. I finished it off by mounting the panel to a fog cardstock base with foam adhesive and adding a rainbow of jewels embellishments from Little Things by Lucy’s Cards.
My second Tall Type card is a clean and simple slimline card. I stamped a rainbow of brush strokes behind each letter with the Pattern Play set. The gold embossing on the bottom of each letter was done with embossing ink stamped with the solid square in the Pattern Play set and gold embossing powder. After adhering the letters down I matted the panel with a brushed gold paper before adhering it to the card base.
