Christmas Countdown: Day 9/10 – Snowman Tag & Simple Card

One the ninth & tenth days of Christmas… I got hit with a cold, and now I’m behind. Oh well.

So I’m a little behind due to getting sick & getting busier as Christmas gets closer.  So you will have to excuse my quick pictures taken with my phone.  I still wanted to share days 9 & 10 and not delay them any further.

One of my favorite designs in the new October Afternoon Holiday Style pad is the City Sidewalks paper with the city scene.  But it’s too pretty to put stuff on top of it, so I created a card that featured this beautiful paper.

I made a tall card to fit the paper and only trimmed down the top and bottom a little.  I used Martha Stewart decorative tape for the top and bottom edges.  The vellum piece is stamped with white staz-on with embossed letters in black on top.  The vellum flap is only adhered on the back of the card so that you can pull it back and see the picture by itself.  I finished off with some doodlebug Christmas twine and a Silver Bell of course!

Next I have a little snowman tag I created last night (because I had a present that needed a tag by tonight).

The background is Stormy Sky distress ink with a little water dripped on it.  I stamped out the images from Lawn Fawn’s Making Frosty Friends and colored them with copics.  I added stickles for some sparkle and some Glitter Snow to the snowbank for more texture.  Which by the way is this week’s Lawnscaping Challenge!  So I will be submitting it over there.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hopefully I can get my last two projects finished and up before Christmas. 🙂  Today is my last day of work before vacation so I will at least have a little extra time starting tomorrow.

  3. Oh my goodness, I LOVE both of these so much. That October Afternoon paper — I was SO in love with it, but didn't buy it because I didn't think that it would be a small enough scale for a card. I will totally have to get it now!

Love that snow on the snowman tag, too. Girl, you always blow me away! Your creativity is astounding. Thank you so much for playing with us at Lawnscaping!
