Chibitronics + Lawn Fawn

Hello!
Today I have a very fun card as a collaboration between Lawn Fawn and Chibitronics!

I’ll admit it did take me a little while to figure out the mechanics of my card, but then again I was trying to create something with 5 lights and still trying and hide my battery.  But it all worked out in the end. I created a parallel circuit and all is hidden behind the colored panel which is popped up on lots of foam adhesive.

The foam keeps the batter from making a connection until you press the heart down. (Thanks to my husband for pressing the heart for this picture <3) Yainea made a video showing how she created her firefly card which you can watch HERE on the lawn fawn blog. the circuits and mechanics that work behind the scenes of my card are the same as she used for hers.  She allowed the lights to glow behind the paper making the fireflies completely light up.  I wanted mine to be more of a pin point light like bulbs you would see on rides at the fair to I used a small hole punch to punch out the locations of my lights.

The night sky was colored with distress inks in Victorian Velvet, Dusty Concord and Chipped Sapphire. I created a mask for the image before using the distress inks, then I colored the Ferris wheel in with copics. I use the simple stitched hillside border for the ground and stamped the sentiment in Yeti ink.  The stars in the sky were made with a silver pigment pen.
