Hi Friends!
I just wanted to first thank you all for your sweet and encouraging comments this week. I can’t express how much I appreciate all my crafty friends. Now, to continue my Halloween card week I have a super quick & easy card I created that features some fun patterned paper & another try at using some colored mist.
I stamped out the letters from Lawn Fawn’s Quinn’s ABCs on a piece of scrap cardstock then drew an outline around them to cut out a mask.
{Just a little tip, I tried the mask first with typing paper, it did not give me a nice crisp edge. The wetness of the mist soaked through the paper and it wasn’t pretty. So to save the rest of you from wasting a card base, use cardstock for the mask with mists rather than paper.}
I used removable adhesive to stick down my mask, gave it a little spritz with Mister Huey’s Custard, removed the mask then let it dry. Then I just layered some fun pattern papers along the top and bottom and added some twine. The papers are from Echo Park’s Happy Halloween line. I bought them last year on sale so I don’t know how easy they are to find now, but if you do a Google search you may be able to still find some. I just love the colors.
Thanks for stopping by today, tomorrow I’ll be back with another Halloween card! I know you are all shocked. 🙂
p.s. Today is the last day to play along with my little giveaway! You can leave comments HERE, I will draw winners this weekend.
What a great idea, and such a cute card!! I love the mist and Quinn's ABCs are SO on my shopping list right now! The letters are SO fun & could be used in SO many ways from scrapbook pages & mini books to cards – fun!!
So so cute!! I really love this!
Lol, I also tryied the masking technique with the mists and I used a cardstock too after testing with papers! so funny!
Love the patterned papers, you combined all the colors perfectly 🙂
