Hello! Welcome back for another day of Lawn Fawn Release week. Today we are featuring the new slimline dies! There are three different slimline die sets. The large slimline with sliders, small slimline with lift the flaps and slimline hillside borders. I am sharing two cards today and you can see how both of them came together in a video tutorial over on the Lawn Fawn blog.
My first card was inspired by Tammy. She created a cool sunset, beach scene. I did the same and added a die-cut sun in the center with a curved sentiment. The sunset background is a combination of wild honey, carved pumpkin, and abandoned coral distress oxide inks. The waves are mermaid cardstock cut with one of the new slimline hillside borders with the edges inked with peacock feathers and the sand is cut from kraft with tea die inked edges and paint splatters.
My second card uses the Small slimline rectangle with the lift the flaps. I cut the panel with flaps from kraft card stock and stamped the images with Doe ink. I also added tea dye distress ink to make it look like a treasure map. I added one image to each flap putting the treasure chest in the center where the sentiment will go.
On the inside, I stamped the sentiment in the center and added a pirate to each of the side flaps. This is a simple interactive card but it would be fun to create little scenes under each flap, or create a scene across the front and open the flaps to reveal things hidden behind.
